Monday

Although all of my FF&E selections are on my Picasa account, I thought I would share some of my process and problems for a few of my spaces.

I have created a sort of check list for all of my spaces; detailing all of the things I will need to spec and or decide on.

Since we are required to detail 10 spaces I will start with that..

The first space I have finished is the Senior Center:
I learned last semester in my programing many things which I had to consider when making design decisions.
Although I am not yet LEED certified, I am trying to use as many finishes and products that could earn the project points as possible, which still being true to the design.
The space includes:
An open space for dancing; near the piano and speakers, as well as a pool table.

Lounge chairs place throughout space for socializing and resting. The fabric below is a standard application fabric for the Coalesse lounge chairs depicted in the next photo. The fabric is made by Maharam and is discribed as:
"Environmentally Improved Manufacturing Process: heavy metal free dyes with high exhaustion rates ,PFOA free &

"Reduced Emissions: Greenguard and Greenguard for Children & Schools certified for indoor air quality."

The chairs are Indoor Advantage Gold Certified and made of 1.4% recycled content.

The WAC LED mini pendent is energy efficient.

This product can help a building earn Water Efficiency points in the LEED Green Building Rating System because it uses at least 20% less water than standard 1.6-gallon toilets. It is also a low profile toilet, which meets ADA standards for spaces in which aging guests will be regular users.

The Senior Center will also include pieces from the Coalesse Enea collection.
They have earned the following:
SCS Indoor Advantage Gold™
LEED Contribution — Indoor Environmental Quality
— Recycled content
— Potential credit for Regional materials
Environmental Facts — 14% recycled content
— 100% recyclable

The fabric that will be used on the seats of the chairs is:

Maharam: Ditto 465993

77% Post-Consumer Recycled Polyester,

23% Solution-Dyed Nylon
54" (137cm) wide
60,000+ double rubs
Cleanable With Diluted Bleach
High Performance Upholstery
Reduced Environmental Impact
Stain Resistant

The Senior Center chairs will only have two of the six color ways. Because my color chart calls for Teal and Yellow Orange as the main colors, the two colors will fit accordingly with the specific design of the space.
